Tourist Travel Requirements for a Congo, Republic of Visa for Chinese Citizens

  1. Appointment System

    This Consulate operates an appointment system for visa issuance. After we have received all the materials required in support of your visa application, CIBTvisas will schedule an appointment with the Consulate to submit your visa application.

  2. Passport

    You must provide your actual signed passport, including one copy of the personal information page of your passport. Your passport must: 

    • Be valid for the next six months
    • Have at least one blank visa page
    • Not be frayed, torn, separating, or altered in any other way

  3. Proof of Residency

    This must be provided as the original and a copy of Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID).

  4. Photograph(s)

    You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:

    • Be taken within the last six months and printed on high quality photo paper
    • Be taken against an all white background
    • Be 35mm by 45mm
    • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
    • You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
    • Your photos should not be affixed to your application or display evidence of adhesive or staples

  5. Copy of Passport

    A clear colour photocopy of the information page(s) from the applicant's passport

  6. Proof of Financial Means

    This must be provided as the photocopy of the applicant's last three non-online current account bank statements. 

  7. Proof of Travel Arrangements

    This must be provided as the original and a copy of the paid flight confirmation showing onward/return travel

  8. Visa Application Form

    One fully completed and signed visa application form

  9. CIBTvisas Order Confirmation

    Please provide the CIBTvisas Order Summary which will be emailed to you at the time of placing the order.

  10. Proof of Previous Visa(s)

    This must be provided as a copy of all previous visas obtained for this destination

Business Travel Requirements for a Congo, Republic of Visa for Chinese Citizens

  5. Business Introduction Letter

    You must provide a Business Introduction Letter from the applicant's Hong Kong employer. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a Hong Kong postal address.

    Note that most consulates require the Business Cover Letter to be dated within one month of application submission.

    Additionally, a copy of the original letter is required.

  6. Letter of Invitation

    An original letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. This letter must:

    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant
    • Specify the purpose and itinerary of journey
    • Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
    • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
    • Be signed in the original
    • Bear the company stamp/seal 
    Additionally, a copy of the original letter is required.

  7. Copy of Passport

    A clear colour photocopy of the information page(s) from the applicant's passport

  8. Proof of Travel Arrangements
